Voted Out

Well, I didn't make it to Round 5 of the American Idol Contest, but will I let it stop me? Not at all! There is a really Schweeeeeeet contest on Becky Fleck's Pagemaps Blog & I am going for that one :). Here is the sketch...
The theme of this one is "What's on my mind"... in this case, what happened to be on my mind is that I should be burning a CD of these birthday pics of my niece Kylee to a CD for my sis in law because hers didn't turn out... I will most likely do it tomorrow...



Here's my take on it! This is a digital layout, although I did use some elements from Sassafras that I scanned just for this project (It will become a reality, I am just waiting for my actual photo to come... it's on it way here, though)

Bringing on the bling

That is what the theme of this week's challenge at Scrap-Tastic is... as well as using some stamping. So I thought I would share my layout and my sketch. And I have to say, the more Sassafrass I am using, the more I want!I do have the Anthem & Bungle Jungle Collections coming to me from House of Paper...
In this layout, I blinged out my Primas with some iridescent paint, and used the same paint for the swirly stamps. The rest is just self-stick rhinestones (I don't go designer... it's all the cheap ones from Darcies that you can get insanely cheap at Michael's), as well as iridescent glitter glue (again, I could get stickles & glimmer mist, but this is more my budget).

Favorite Lines

Yes, I know I have some companies that I follow the blogs for religiously, but I have to say that my absolute FAVORITE ever is the new Sassafras Anthem line. You can bet as soon as I get past this month's spending freeze that I will be all over that line and buying up a nice little stockpile of it!

Cricut Addicts

Use it up...

Due to financial need, everything I do this month will be involving stuff that I already have. The only new scrappy stuff I have permission to get at the moment is adhesive (glue sticks, pop dots, etc.. you get the idea). Let's see what I can stretch with my stash!

Life goes fast...

I can't believe I last posted here almost a month ago. Time just flew right by! I have so many sketches to share and will be bale to do so on a more regular basis, hopefully. This 1st sketch is one I did for a LO for Scrap-Tastic's American Idol contest. We had to use 10 different patterned papers and no cardstock! Was it a challenge? You bet! Ultimately, though, I ended up with 12.




















This 2nd one is just for fun! I have been hanging on to some of these papers for a long time and unsure what I wanted to use them on (especially the stitched-design Sassafras Lass). This turned out perfectly!
