Fun With Sketches
Don't you just love it when you happen to have the perfect sketch, yet can't seem to work it out on paper, but then it works even better? That's what happened with this one...
Once I got all my supplies and stuff decided (and believe me, I wasn't sure any of this would go together, much less with the photo I was struggling with, I was really happy! I used papers from K&Co., felt from Blu Eye Dezines, some Sassafras cardstock stickers and alphas from Miss Elizabeth's, and cut a Jenni Bowlin journal card in half and colored it with some chalk pastel pencils.
On a couple quick side notes... I was at Michael's yesterday and found that they had a fabulous clearance sale going on, which includes a bunch and I mean A BUNCH of Prima stuff! Yep, I snagged some of that!
Also, if you are new to this blog of mine, I hope you have fun exploring it! If you aren't new,you will notice more personal stuff on here as well. I have found it way too hard to actually keep 2 blogs going for myself, so I am combining them into one... this one!

Another Page Maps contest
Becky has another AMAZING contest on the PageMaps Blog... so of course, I am wayyyyy drawn to it, or I should say, the prize... a ton of the new Basic Gray papers... these papers are so yummy, I can't even imagine getting my hands on them (and believe me, I've tried... LSS doesn't have them yet). Anyhow, here's the sketch for this one...
And here's the Layout I did for it... I used pretty much exclusively Sassafras papers on this one again, with a colorbok chipboard butterfly and banner and some felt from Blu Eye Dezines. I got the rikrak and ribbon on clearance at walmart and I think I may need to see if I can find more because I can see myself running out really quickly.

Spring is in the air!
Spring is definitely in the air and thank god it's here already... and only a month before Summer officially begins. I thought I would use a spring LO and sketch to honor this occasion...
The materials I used for this layout are: Sassafras paper from the Vintage Yummy collection, KI Memories Lace Cardstock, Flowers From Target, Butterflies from Studio 6, a 3D sticker from Target, and a great Chipboard sticker from Imaginarium (I think.... can't remember exactly what the company name is, but it's from the Twitterpated collection, if that helps), and Bling from Darcies.

Sassafras Lass
Yep... I think that's me now... Actually, this has become my absolute favorite line of stuff. It is becoming my obsession, and I want to have an endless supply of it. That being said, I have just ordered even more (shh, don't tell the hubby), just so I can keep using it :)
That being said, I was super-inspired for the sketch I came up with this week, and it was totally due to my Sassafras obsession. So, I felt that it was only fair that I use almost entirely Sassafras on the accompanying layout. The only thing not Sassafras is the cardstock, the corrugated paper (which I outlined using the leftover outline of a cloud from some of my Sassafras cardstock stickers), and the title, which I cut from some thin chipboard with my Cricut, using George cartridge for the brackets and Opposites Attract for the lettering. The Sassafras lines I used on here were Happy Place, Anthem & Bungle Jungle.
